Bangladeshi Ambassador met with Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman

Mr, Mizanur Rahman, Ambassador of Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Oman (Tuesday) met with H. E Dr. Saud bin Hamoud bin Ahmed Alhabsi, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman at his office. The meeting was held to discuss matters of mutual interest and also to follow up on the topics that were discussed during the recently concluded Foreign Office Consultations between Bangladesh and Oman held on 8th June 2021. It may be mentioned the Ambassador has recently been meeting with dignitaries/ ministers with a view to transforming the Bi-lateral cooperation from a labor-intensive relation to a comprehensive dynamic partnership.

Bangladeshi Ambassador met with Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources of the Sultanate of Oman,Facebook, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Peoples Republic of Bangladesh.

The conclusion of several Memorandum of Understandings (MOU) in the field of Agriculture and Fisheries was discussed. Cooperation in harnessing the potential of Blue Economy, Food Security, De-salinization, etc. topics also came up during the meeting. The Ambassador also proposed employing Agriculturists from Bangladesh and leasing land for farming by investors from Bangladesh. The Ambassador was assured of due consideration to the proposals. It was also agreed to hold a virtual meeting of the concerned focal points of both countries at a future convenient date.
